The how-to on making a simple Chicken bone broth in a slow cooker/crockpot or on the stovetop.
I was making bone broth and thought why not film it, (see the how-to video) also a friend had messaged me earlier in the week to ask how I made my bone broth.
Bone broth nourishes the body so that the immune system remains strong
Bone broth is nourishing, gut healing and very versatile. Use it for soup, stews and meat dishes. It is also known to be an effective immune booster, great to have when you have a cold or the flu.
Just a couple of notes…
This is a really basic broth. I have found if I keep it simple I am more likely to make it often. Also, I don’t add veggies – less work and I read somewhere that it lasts longer in the fridge without veggies and I often use it as a base for soups anyway. At present, I have a mug a day of this (side note: have noticed my nails are really strong).
I get my chicken bones from https://sausagesbydesign.co.nz/. Don’t worry if you don’t have ginger just leave it out or add in garlic cloves.
